If you’ve been involved in a car accident that wasn’t your fault, you can request a replacement vehicle by calling us at 03 8698 8888. We’ll guide you through the process and ask for the necessary details to assess your claim.

Should you application are missing some required information, our team may follow up with you to collect any additional details needed.

Assessment

After receiving your not-at-fault car hire request, our team will assist in getting you back on the road as soon as possible. We generally aim to approve applications within 24 to 48 hours once all required information is submitted. If your vehicle is undrivable right after the incident, we may be able to arrange delivery of a replacement car directly to the accident location.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
In Australia, ‘not-at-fault’ drivers involved in motor vehicle collisions are entitled by law  a ‘like-for-like’ replacement vehicle whilst their vehicle is undergoing repairs.

Vehicle Delivery

Once your application is approved, we’ll arrange a delivery date for your replacement vehicle and provide you with the necessary documents for signing.

A team member will meet you at a location that works best for you—whether that’s your home, workplace, or repair shop—to hand over the vehicle.

Kindly note, we will collect your credit card details as a precaution, in case any charges arise at the end of the hire period.

WHAT ARE YOU ENTITLED TO?

If your vehicle is non-repairable and you’re ‘not-at-fault’, you’re entitled to a rental vehicle for a reasonable time to buy a replacement.

This lets you drive a rental until you’re compensated for your ‘Total Loss’ (write-off)

Vehicle Return

While the replacement vehicle is in your care, you’re responsible for covering fuel expenses, toll charges (including any admin fees), and any traffic or parking fines along with their associated administrative costs—just as you would with your own vehicle.

Once your car has been repaired or you’ve received your insurance settlement, Flexi Car Rental will coordinate a convenient time and location with you to collect the replacement vehicle.
